Animethon Summary

Typing this while watching RAW.

That was cool to see Benjamin and Angle wrestle, the whole pupil-teacher thing. I'm not sure what they're doing w/ Chavo's character, but it's ... controversial. I guess if a Latino says it, it's ok? Benjamin's awesome and I wish they'd push him more. Now that Cena's champ, it shouldn't be a prob for matches but I guess a face-face match wouldn't be that interesting.

So here's my report on Animethon, or at least how I experienced Animethon. Showed up @ H's house at 8 in the morning. Ended up not leaving her place until about 9 b/c she was showing me her dirty pictures of Aragorn and Boromir. Since I was going to working at Animethon in the dealer's room, I needed to get a pass to get in and out, so went thru the back to talk w/ my employer. H came with me, and we basically snuck in even though I wasn't working the Saturday. Stayed in the Dealer's room for about 3 hrs b/c we weren't sure if we could get back in. Went to lunch at Eastbound, and then saw the Naruto movie "Dai Katsugeki!! Yuki Hime Shinobu Houjou Datte Bayo!". It wasn't bad, but really felt like an OVA. Didn't get to see the movie short though :( I wish Sakura was able to show her ability more, she was fairly crafy but not crafty enough. Sasuke really outsmarted her. H had to go home, so stayed outside talking for about an hour. Then ran in to watch "Kannaduki no Miko" Was in the back, when I saw J and M walk in, I did a little wave and I dont' know if he saw me, or actually wasn't interested in what was on the screen but he turned around and left. Which was like "What the f--?! Whatever, I don't wanna sit next to him anyways" Wasn't too impressed w/ the anime, I'm really sick of the genki useless airhead that seems to attract everyone. She had no personality. I was sort interested in seeing her gf react to the boy rescuing everytime, but not that interested. Met my A, T, W in there, and we went to the room of mystery. Saw "Club to Death Dokura-chan" which was awesome. Brutally funny, ecchi and sweet, shows what happens to the angels that you don't hear about :D Had some $4 pizza(per slice!) and then went home.

The next day I showed up at Animethon at 10, and worked all day until 7. Only had an hour to get lunch, and basically gave back my paycheque since I spent almost $100 @ C&L Multimedia, and I got paid $120. It was kinda funny when I was working b/c even when we were setting up, and I was dressed in a white shirt w/ shortalls, organizers would come up to me and start asking me things. Then when I was working, and I was doing the cash, everyone would come up to me, and ask me about getting deals, where the store was, and all kinds of things, and treating me as if I ran it. Which I guess I kinda did b/c I'd tell the other people to hand out the biz cards and straighten out the shelves a bit as they got emptied. It must just be my experience working at Superstore as an assistant supervisor. It was fun, even though J said I had my "work face" on which is usually "I'm busy so ask me quick". Yes J was there.

I don't think the white hair makes Bischoff look any older.

So on the Friday, there was going to be party for C, and it was going to be at 7. And set up for C&L was supposed to go from 3-6. So plenty of time right? Except the C&L guy was late, gym wasn't ready, but I still left at 6. But J was acting all bitchy and it was at the party where I made the crack about running off to BC w/ H. So we were watching MST3000, and after that crack, he didn't laugh for at least 1/2 hour, he was so f*cked in the head.

Sweet, Tori and Candice just kicked Ashley's ass. I'm so used to Tori being a face. I still miss Trish. And Victoria was briefly back as a heel, but w/o Trish, there's no competition.

So on Sunday, when I was working at the booth, J comes thru, and he sorta looks at me as if he expects me to spit in his face or something. Of course I ring the purchase thru b/c 1) I'm professional 2) I'm not that petty. And then when there was a break in the lineup b/c everyone was watching the demostrations, he comes by and goes "I'm sorry about Friday, I was being a jerk." Gee, talk about a captive audience, like I could leave the booth. And I sure as hell couldn't swear or do anything, so I was like "whatever, fine" And I don't know if he was trying to do his best hang-dog impression or what, but basically we confirmed that we were going to do something the next day. But the next day... I laid it out for him.

I told him that I don't like him always putting his hand on my back, especially when I'm browsing and he starts putting his hand there and rubbing it up and down. I used to let him give me backrubs b/c my job was a back-killer but the amount of pressure he was using when we were shopping was not a "therapeutic touch." I showed H once what he did, and she was sooo creeped out. And he's like "I thought you like backrubs." And yes, I actually had to explain the difference. Oh, so I had to tell him that I don't do hugs. Wait... this feels like deja vu. *reading thru old posts* Ah, here's one in Nov and Dec. I know this was the 2nd time I've had to tell him that I don't do hugs. Oh, and I had to tell him all this in the middle of the store, b/c there we were again, shopping in our favourite comic book store, and I look at manga, he looks at manga, I look at comics, he looks at comics, I look at gaming books, there he is again. I'm whipping around the store, and he's just following me. Then I did the stupid thing and picked up a book to look at, and there he comes up behind me, and there goes his hand.

And now he's acting all petty and treating me like shit. And I really shoulda taken him up on his offer to break off our friendship, but f-ck I'm too nice, and I'd feel guilty if he did something to himself, which he claims he's gotten over, but I know it's just lip to not have him committed. But you know, that guilt is quickly going away.

Damn, Cena won. Wow, Jericho really has blue eyes. Boy, can Jericho grovel. Awwww. poor Jericho. Well Smackdown does need a boost. Oooh, Angle's kicking Cena's ass. Cool. Now there's a guy who can get things done. Angle is sooo intense.
